Syria has a surface area of 185,180 sq. km (71,548 sq. mi.) and a coastline of 180 km (112 miles) to the Mediterranean Sea.
It is characterized by a wide variety of landscapes due to the differences in climate stretching from northern green forests through the open desert to the black volcanic mountains of the south, which makes it an ideal place for shooting.
